Handwoven cotton textiles from the Dhukuti Women's Cooperative in Kathmandu Nepal compliment the hammered copper vases and bowls. Dhukuti is the Nepali word for a place in the home where the valuables are kept. The women producers at Dhukuti receive a fair wage and access many advantages. The cooperative now supports over 700 women. The hand pounded copper pieces are created by a women's craft center in the Kathmndu, Nepal. This copperware is FDA approved and useable. |
